In this four week course, you will learn the fundamentals of woodworking. No prior experience necessary! Gain confidence working the shop and learn to properly use tools like the table saw, joiner, planer, chisels, and more. Starting from a raw piece of lumber, we will build a beautiful box with four fundamental types of joinery for you to take home. Develop a foundation to take on future projects and become eligible to take other classes at the Chicago Maker Space. Let's build something!

Details:

• Class size: 5

• Ages 18 and up

• Each course consists of 4 classes over 4 weeks, with 3 hours each class.

• Please plan on attending all sessions. We can't provide make-ups or substitutions for missed classes.

• Classes may be postponed if enrollment is fewer than 3 students.
